continued to drive revenue growth,
and Micro Focus bolstered its performance with a string of significant acquisitions.
Micro Focus has grown significantly
since the end of 2014, when it acquired US-based Attachmate Group Inc for USD2.50 billion.
It followed this up with the acquisition of Serena Software Inc for USD540 million, which
it completed in May.
Most recently was the biggest deal of all,
an USD8.80 billion reverse takeover
of the software arm of Hewlett Packard
Enterprise Co, set to complete in the third
quarter of 2017.
Shares in Micro Focus closed up 4.8% at 2,231.55 pence Wednesday, having earlier traded within a penny of their all-time high of 2,267.00p

as its open-sourced software business
continued to drive revenue growth,
and Micro Focus bolstered its performance with a string of significant acquisitions.

Fresno Second-Half State Run Sends Cal Poly to Saturday Defeat
FRESNO – Sophomore guard Donovan Fields scored a career high 17 points, but Fresno State knocked down nine of its first 11 shots to open the second half on Saturday afternoon en route to outdistancing the Mustangs inside the Save Mart Center, 73-59.
Guards Ridge Shipley and Victor Joseph each finished with seven points for Cal Poly (5-5), which trailed 30-23 at halftime before Fresno State (6-3) opened the second half with a 26-13 run. Cal Poly committed just nine turnovers and only three in the second half, but the Bulldogs shot 58.8 (30-for-51) percent from the floor

OAKLAND — In what may be the deadliest structure fire in Oakland’s history, at least nine people died in a blaze that broke out late Friday at an electronic music party at a Fruitvale district live-work space, officials said.
The fire tore through the two-story building in the 1300 block of 31st Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. Friday during an event featuring musician Golden Donna’s 100% Silk West Coast tour.
Most of the nine dead were found on the second floor, and another 25 people are unaccounted for, Fire Chief Teresa Deloach-Reed said.
Firefighters said it appeared that no smoke detectors were activated during the fire and there was no sprinkler system in the structure, the chief said.
“We still have to do a more thorough search of the building and we don’t know the potential number of other victims,” Deloach-Reed said. No firefighters were reported injured while battling the blaze.

The company says Friday morning’s ribbon cutting will make it one of ADP’s largest such facilities in the country. Employees in Norfolk will work with clients on cloud-based payroll programs and human resources solutions.
The new 288,000-square-foot facility will initially employ 300 people. Taking part in the ceremony will be ADP
executives as well as Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Todd Haymore and Norfolk Mayor Kenneth Cooper Alexander.
The company is based in Roseland, New Jersey, and employs nearly 57,000 people.
