'Mr Gorilla' raises £26,000 by crawling London Marathon
'Mr Gorilla' raises £26,000 by crawling London Marathon
A man who crawled the London Marathon dressed as a gorilla has completed the course and raised £26,000 for charity.
Tom Harrison - who calls himself Mr Gorilla - took six-and-a-half days to do the 26.2 mile route on his hands and knees gorilla-style , in aid of The Gorilla Organization.
Mr Harrison crossed the finish line on The Mall with his sons and had a medal presented by conservationist Bill Oddie.
He said he felt "tired but happy".
"Prior to this, the most I had crawled in one go was a mile, so I found the first day of the marathon really exhausting," he said.
The father-of-two, a Met Police officer who lives in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, started his attempt on 22 April, crawling the streets of the capital for between 10 and 12 hours a day.
He originally aimed to raise £1,500 but said the reaction to his challenge had been "incredible".
"The fact it went global has been completely unexpected, but brilliant," he said.
Mr Harrison was joined outside Buckingham Palace by his two sons, Nicholas, six, and Alex, four - also dressed as gorillas.
The charity's executive director Jillian Miller, described his efforts as "incredible".
"He's now officially our highest fundraiser ever she said.
"He feels very strongly, as the father of two little boys, that he wants to help preserve biodiversity for future generations.

Ed Sheeran surprises dying young fan with a visit from singer-songwriter
Ed Sheeran surprises dying young fan with a visit from singer-songwriter
A six-year-old boy diagnosed with a terminal condition has received a surprise visit from his beloved “hero” – English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Sheeran was alerted to Ollie Caroll’s dying wish by a social media campaign by his parents.
In a post to the “Ollie’s Army Battling Against Battens” Facebook page, Ollie’s parents describe how Sheeran was so moved by the boy’s story he invited the family backstage during a concert at the Manchester Arena last week.
As soon as Ed walked into the room yesterday and spoke, Ollie's eye lit up and a smile spread across his face. This image was priceless the post reads.
The post describes how Sheeran gave the boy “the biggest of cuddles” while thanking the star for granting their dying son’s wish.
Ollie suffers from Battens Disease, a rare and fatal degenerative disorder that causes complete physical and mental incapacitation.
Ollie who once knew all the words to Ed's song, who used to sing along can no longer talk, his parents wrote.
Ollie who used to stand at the television watching Ed's videos can no longer stand and see.
However the power of Ed's voice has pulled Ollie through the hardest and darkest of times.
Ollie listens to Ed's songs through his many hospital admissions, his songs have even helped him get through brain surgery.”
2-6 Madrid run out handsome winners at Riazor
2-6 Madrid run out handsome winners at Riazor & Real Madrid CF
A James brace and strikes from Morata, Lucas Vázquez, Isco and Casemiro saw the Whites put Deportivo to the sword.
al Madrid romped to victory at Riazor to keep their LaLiga title hopes well on track. The Whites set themselves well on the way to victory courtesy of a vintage opening 15 minutes and put the game beyond the hosts' reach on the stroke of half-time. Madrid got their noses in front with barely a minute on the clock when Danilo regained possession, before finding Isco, who brought the ball down with his chest and slipped an inch-perfect through ball to Álvaro Morata, whose fierce strike flew inside the near post to put Madrid 1-0 up.
The Whites went on to carve out two clear-cut chances immediately after having gone ahead. Firstly, Marco Asensio found himself clean through in the fifth minute and then Isco's sublime curling effort two minutes later saw the visitors come close to doubling their lead, but Germán Lux pulled off a fine save to deny the first effort, whilst the woodwork foiled the Malaga-born midfielder minutes later. Madrid had really come flying out of the traps and four minutes later had another golden chance to have built on their opener. A fine piece of individual play saw Morata shrug off the attentions of a Depor defender, before forcing Lux to pull off yet another stunning save.
It appeared as if it was just a question of time before the visitors doubled their advantage and the second of the night nearly came on 13', with Asensio's shot from the edge of the area crashing against the upright. Just a minute had elapsed when James capped off a sublime first quarter of an hour from Madrid. Lucas sent in a cross and the Colombian conjured up a deft stabbed finish with the outside of his left boot. Madrid had the ball in the net again on 16' with Morata again on target, but the goal was chalked off after Marcelo was incorrectly adjudged to have been in an offside position in the previous phase of play.

I love to train body parts | Build Large Biceps With Curling Variation
I love to train body parts | Build Large Biceps With Curling Variation
The biceps are one of the most “I love to train” body parts among gym rats. And tee-tearing biceps do give you a Herculean look. Some coaches avoid direct bicep training as they get enough stimulation during deadlifts, heavy rows and weighted pull-ups. That is completely fine if you're someone with gifted bicep genetics (shorter and rounder bicep insertions) or someone who is training for strength and functionality. Take a U-turn from here and read my other informative articles. But if you're someone who is aspiring for an aesthetic physique and aren't really genetically gifted, you, my friend, need this piece of information.
Are Barbells And Dumbells Enough For Building Large Biceps?
The internet is filled with articles claiming heavy dumbbell / barbell curls are supreme for building bigger biceps. But when it comes to an isolation exercise like bicep curls, dumbbells/barbells are not the optimal tools.
Worry not- the cable station is here to rescue your biceps. Cables provide constant tension throughout the range of motion ensuring you get maximum bicep stimulation. However, there are many variations in the cable curls itself:
Cable curls with Straight Bar
Cable curls with Ez-Bar
Single Arm Cable curls with Handles
Cable curls with Ropes
Cable curls with one hand in your pocket
So, What Is The Best Way To Pump Up Those Guns?
Let's analyze the key difference between these two variations:
Hence, the best two exercises for developing your biceps should be:
1- Single arm cable curls facing away from cable station 3 sets 15-30 reps
2- Single arm rope cable curls facing away from cable station 3 sets 15-25 reps
Try this variation of bicep cable curls and your biceps will be sore like never-before. If you're a natural lifter you have to keep in mind every scientific training advantage you can get, And, by making such small changes to get maximum results, you'll definitely see your biceps grow

Kitty Hawk Flyer is a new, all-electric aircraft
Kitty Hawk Flyer is a new, all-electric aircraft.
You don’t need a pilot’s license and you’ll learn to fly it in minutes. To learn
Details are scant at the moment, but the Flyer's hashtag-shaped pipe structure is topped by protective webbing and has two rotors attached to each pipe for a total of eight. A pair of short pontoons cater for take-off and landing on water.
A user safely sits above the webbing in a single seat and steers the craft with U-shaped handlebars. There looks to be a control board inbetween the grips, with a start switch to the right and some sort of display in the middle. The screen doesn't show anything in the promo video but will likely show system status information at the very least.
The star of the promo video, Cimeron Morrissey, says that riders "mount the seat and lean forward, just like you would on a bike. The controls are built into a set of handlebars and work similar to buttons and joysticks on a video game controller. It takes off and lands vertically, like a helicopter."
The version seen in the images and video is not market-ready, and Kitty Hawk reckons that a more polished production version of The Flyer will go on sale by the end of this year. No price has been given at this time, though a US$2,000 discount for those who sign up for membership ($100 for 3 years) is quite suggestive.
Rekin Electric 2017 | New vehicle brings Italian flair
Rekin Electric 2017 | New vehicle brings Italian flair
Perhaps you like the idea of cruising down the road sitting in something sleek and Italian, yet you're not really a "car person." Well, if that's the case, then the Barbagallo X01 might be for you. The single-seat vehicle uses a brushless electric motor to augment the rider's pedalling power, occupying a niche somewhere between bicycle and electric car.
Its polycarbonate hinged upper shell has a 120-watt SunPower solar panel built into the roof, to help charge the vehicle's 48V/30Ah lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack. One full charge (from an outlet, not the panel) takes a claimed four hours and should be good for a range of 70 km (43 miles). The battery can be removed for charging.
The X01's top motor-assisted speed is 25 km/h (16 mph).
Some of its other features include a full LED lighting system, front and rear coil/hydraulic suspension, a small cargo compartment, along with front and rear hydraulic disc braking. The vehicle's total weight – presumably in its current three-wheeled prototype form – is 55 kg (121 lb). Plans also call for a four-wheeled version to be manufactured (see image above).
If you're interested in getting one, you'll have to wait for a bit, as it's currently the subject of an Indiegogo campaign. Different pledge levels are available, which will go towards the starting retail price of €15,000 (about US$15,969). Delivery isn't expected until June 2019.

A 3-Year-Old Boy Recalls Past Life | reincarnations of our past lives
A 3-Year-Old Boy Recalls Past Life |reincarnations of our past lives
We’ve all experienced the explainable in life at one point or another, whether it be déjà vu or out of body experiences. Yet it can be easy to forget that what we consider unusual or out of the ordinary as adults were innately accepted and understood when we were children, prior to our conditioning. This is becoming more and more apparent as cases of children who remember past lives continue to surface around the world.
The story you are about to hear is true. Imagine you are the parents of a young child and as soon as the child can talk and express ideas, he begins to refer adamantly to a past life he has had. How would you respond?
In the case of this young man, there was more than just talk going on. He continuously insisted that he remembered a past life and that in that life he was murdered. The boy led his parents to a very specific spot and told them that this is where he had died. The parents felt compelled to give in and begin digging at the spot.
Can you guess what they found? Yes, a corpse! To add to the fascination of this amazing story, the boy also led his parents to the location of the ax that was used in his murder and this is thought to explain the red mark he was born with on his forehead.
The boy eventually told his parents the exact name of his murderer and after some time, the man was located and even confessed to the crime. The occurrence of past lives is still in the realm of theory from a standpoint of science, yet stories like these are extremely compelling and difficult to explain away. What do you think? Do we live multiple lives? Is it possible to remember them?
That is, until he lead village elders to the spot where he remembers being buried. Mixed in with the group of village elders was a man by the name of Dr. Eli Lasch. Dr. Eli Lasch is known in Gaza for developing a government medical system. Lasch witnessed all of these events.
The villagers dug up the spot where the boy says his former corpse remains and sure enough there was as skeleton there. Mysteriously, a large axe mark on the skeleton corresponds to a birth mark on the boys head.
The boy says he was murdered with an axe and then lead village elders to the spot where the murderer buried the weapon. Sure enough, they dug up an axe.
The boy then lead people to the village he was from in his past life and told them of his previous name.
When people of the boy's former home village were asked about a man going by this name...they said he had disappeared 4 years earlier and never returned.
Remember, the boy was three years old.
But strangest of all, the boy recounted exactly who the murderer was.
When the boy confronted his killer, the man's face turned a pale white and he started acting very suspicious.
Once the boy lead elders to the exact spot of his corpse and the murder weapon the killer gave in and admitted to the crime -- for which he ended up being charged with.
Is the boy a product of reincarnation? Are we all perhaps reincarnations of our past lives?
forYour children | Parents are flipping car seats too soon
forYour children | Parents are flipping car seats too soon
Most parents flip their child's car seat forward-facing too early, and loved ones who know better often don't speak up. A new campaign aimed at creating awareness is hoping to change that.
A new study from baby brand Chicco reports 72% of parents say they are uncomfortable talking to other parents about keeping their children riding rear-facing before age 2, even though most know American Academy of Pediatrics' recommendations.
The AAP says all infants and toddlers should ride in a rear-facing seat until they are at least 2 or until they reach the highest weight or height allowed by their car safety seat manufacturer. The CDC reports 59% of car seats are misused in a way that could reduce effectiveness. This comes at a time when motor vehicle injuries are the leading cause of death among U.S. children.
Dr. David Hill, pediatrician and Chicco child passenger safety spokesperson, said rear-facing car seats are five times safer than front-facing in a crash.
Daphne Oz, celebrity ambassador for TurnAfter2, said at a time when parents are bombarded with advice and information, often they're left to "guess" what's best for their children. She says TurnAfter2 promotes a positive way for parents to help each other keep families safe while traveling.

Facebook Expects AR Smart glasses To Go Mainstream In 2022
Facebook Expects AR Smart glasses To Go Mainstream In 2022
For a brief moment it seemed that Google Glass and the concept of smartglasses was a failure given that Google shut down the project (the first iteration), and also based on the hostility towards users with smartglasses. However we haven’t seen similar backlash when Snap launched Spectacles which was basically a pair of augmented reality glasses.
Does this mean that AR-based wearables are due to become mainstream? According to Facebook, yes, but we shouldn’t expect that to happen until at least 2022. Speaking at Facebook’s F8 conference, Michael Abrash, Facebook’s chief scientist of Oculus Research said, “Despite all the attention focused on AR today it will be five years at best before we’re really at the start of the ramp to widespread, glasses-based augmented reality, before AR has its
Abrash also goes on to add, “20 or 30 years from now, I predict that instead of carrying stylish smartphones everywhere, we’ll wear stylish glasses. Those glasses will offer VR, AR and everything in between and we’ll use them all day.” That being said, it is interesting that Facebook is looking into AR tech, especially given that they have a vested interest in VR with their acquisition of Oculus.

Computer pioneer Robert W Taylor dies aged 85
Robert W Taylor, who was instrumental in creating the internet and the modern personal computer, has died at the age of 85.
Robert W Taylor, who was instrumental in creating the internet and the modern personal computer, has died in California.
His son, Kurt, said Mr Taylor was 85 when he died on Thursday in Woodside.
Mr Taylor funded researchers or led teams of scientists who are responsible for some of the most important technologies of the modern world.
As he had predicted, the limited communications tool morphed into a system that supplies people with fingertip access to everything from encyclopedias to investment advice.
In 1961, Mr Taylor was a project manager for NASA when he directed funding to Douglas Engelbart at the Stanford Research Institute, who helped develop the modern computer mouse
Taylor oversaw pioneering PC's creation
He also oversaw a team that helped create the Alto — a pioneering personal computer — while working at the Xerox Corp's Palo Alto Research Centre (PARC).
The technology inspired the Apple Macintosh computer, with Apple co-founder Steve Jobs declaring a GUI "inevitable" after some of his engineers convinced him to visit PARC at the end of 1979.
Mr Taylor's engineering team also helped develop ethernet local networking and a word processing program that became Microsoft Word.
Stanford University Silicon Valley Archives project historian Leslie Berlin told the New York Times
In 2004, he and other PARC researchers were awarded the Draper Prize from the National Academy of Engineering for development of "the first practical networked personal computers

Mom shares her son's heartbreaking last days to say 'I love you mommy'
Mom shares her son's heartbreaking last days
to say 'I love you mommy'
On February 4, 2017, Scully's son Nolan lost his battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects soft tissue. In an ode to her son, Scully shared a photo collage on Facebook showing the harsh realities of childhood cancer.
She explains that during his struggle 4-year-old Nolan refused to leave her side, even lying on the bathroom floor when she showered.
The first picture shows Nolan on a bathmat. It was taken before he left for the hospital to start an aggressive chemotherapy regimen. The second picture, taken on the two-month anniversary of his death, shows the same bathmat, this time without Nolan.
"Now I'm the one terrified to shower," Scully wrote in her post. "With nothing but an empty shower rug now where once a beautiful perfect little boy laid waiting for his Mommy."
Two months since I've held you in my arms, heard how much you loved me, kissed those sweetie "pie" lips. Two months since we've snuggled. Two months of pure absolute Hell.
I've wanted for a long time to write a little about Nolan's last days. His last few days shined with how amazing my son is. How beautiful he is. How he was made of nothing but pure love. This may be long, but bear with me, it's agony unlike any other.
Nolan told his mother he wanted to be remembered as a policeman.
It wasn't all serious business during his last 36 hours. "We played, as we could," Scully wrote.
In their last few hours together Scully went to take a shower. When she came out, she saw a medical team surrounding her son. He had slipped into a coma, "beginning the end of life passing," she said. She ran to her son.
But something amazing happened.
Nolan, despite suffering a collapsed lung, took a breath, opened his eyes, and said "I love you Mommy."
He died shortly after, as his mother sang "You are my Sunshine" to him.
A legacy of love
Scully hopes two things come of sharing Nolan's story. The first, that others will learn from the legacy he left behind. "Nolan showed everyone how people should be treated, and how you should take care of one another. He was made of nothing but love and goodness," Scully said.
She also hopes this post serves as a wake up call to raise awareness. After Nolan's death, his oncologist told Scully something she will always remember.

lazybinaryoptionsignals : I don’t make trading all I do So What is the S...
lazybinaryoptionsignals : I don’t make trading all I do So What is the Solution?
Take the next 2 minutes to take a look at something you may have never seen before
I enjoy trading as much as the next person, but I don’t want to be glued to the computer screen all day.Let’s say you find a winning system or signals which is great but not every time you want to make $$ you have to watch the screen for 8 hours a day waiting for a setup.
I trade so I can live my life.
I don’t make trading all I do.
So What is the Solution?
Time Based Signals and Systems that are SIMPLE!
So what is time based trading you ask?
Picture
It means the trade ONLY happens at 1 specific time each day. So if trade is scheduled for 8.35am Eastern it will ONLY happen at that time. (+/- 2 minutes). It won’t ever happen at 9.37am or 1.23am but ONLY at the time that it is scheduled
So you truly can place the trade and walk away and get on with your day. Get on with your life and do other things you enjoy. Whether that is spending time with loved ones, playing golf, volunteering, travel or whatever interests you.
I search for good traders whom are willing to
trade 1 signal at 1 specific time of day.
I test the traders for a while to see if they are
REALLY profitable. See if they are willing to
follow the rules of only 1 trade per day at the
EXACT same time every time. Then I trade them
over and over again to see if they can pass my
test of nicely profitable.
Once I feel they can be profitable long term they
are released to the club members via our private
membership site and via email.
These simple time based systems I have traded for YEARS. That have continued to be profitable year after year.
Those simple systems are currently being sold on my other site for $1000 (and is worth every penny)
but they are included in your club membership. (you will get 1 system per month for 5 months)
How do I trade them?
I prefer Nadex. They are CFTC regulated exchange I have used for many years with many withdrawals
and 1000’s of trades.
You can trade some of the signals via forex if you wish as well. We give results for both forex and
nadex each day.
Galaxy S8 the best-performing smartphone display
Galaxy S8 the best-performing smartphone display
The Galaxy S8 is the latest Galaxy device to garner a superlative distinction from the industry’s screen authority, having earned DisplayMate’s highest-ever A+ grade.
The Galaxy S8 earned top marks thanks to the record-setting specs of its curved, full-screen OLED display, which nearly fills the entire front face of the smartphone from edge to edge. In order to provide users with more screen space, the home button has been incorporated within the screen itself, which measures 5.8 inches (6.2 inches in the S8+) and boasts an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, adding new levels of immersion to the viewing experience.
Video content is even more vivid and engaging thanks to the Galaxy S8’s new, high-saturation ‘Deep Red’ OLED, which provides significantly higher color saturation. This creates a larger native color gamut – measuring 113 percent of DCI-P3 and 142 percent of sRGB/Rec. 709*; the highest DisplayMate has ever measured in a smartphone or tablet – that allows the screen to portray high-definition content accurately, in a manner in line with what creators intended.
The 2960 x 1440, 570 pixel-per-inch Quad HD+ display features the highest resolution currently available in a smartphone with an OLED display, and produces crystal clear images under all normal viewing conditions.
The Galaxy S8 produces up to 1,020 nits under high ambient light conditions – such as bright sunlight – and boasts a screen reflectance of just 4.5 percent, which ranks among

Top Insurance Policies Many people don’t know about these In 2017
Top Insurance Policies Many people don’t know about these In 2017
In this crazy world there are types of insurance policies that will help you rather than hurt your wallet in the long run.
Pet Insurance
Pet insurance is one of the most important aspects of getting a pet in the first place. Pet’s are really cute and add a lot to your life, but can be very expensive later on in life, keeping up with vaccinations, any unexpected issues. Let the insurance company take care of it
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is one of those things, you usually tend to decline, until you have that one bad experience. Once you have that bad travel experience ( and we all will at some point), you’ll never skip getting travel insurance.
Renters & Homeowners Insurance
Age 20’s to 40’s
A lot of new apartment complexes require you to get this type of insurance. It is important to protect your belongings in case of any issues that may occur when renting a place.
Disability Insurance
Age 20’s
When you first start working, you instantly become an asset and a value to yourself as well as the people you support. Even if you’re currently not supporting anyone, getting disability insurance when you start working is a policy that protects the salary you are making. If in any case you get injured or can not perform your job your disability insurance can pay up to 80% of your salary for life. It’s worth the extra dollars to protect yourself.
Life Insurance
When To Get It? : Get It When You Get Married
What Age Should I Get It? : Age 20’s – 40’s
We’re all afraid of that day when we’ll pass to the next world. Game over, the end. What happens to our loved ones, the ones we are taking care of? We need to make sure they are taken care of. Life insurance does just that. It makes sure your loved ones have enough money to survive after your death. It’s hard to think about, but it’s a little comforting knowing than your loved ones will be ok after you are gone. The policies have different terms and prices depending on how much you’d like to get paid out

How To Setup Voluum Tracking With Clickbank
How To SetupVoluum Tracking With Clickbank
Sending Conversions from Clickbank to Voluum
It is possible to send conversions automatically from Clickbank to Voluum. The problem is that it is not as easy as inserting your Voluum postback URL into Clickbank's settings. To make use of an automated conversion reporting you will have to use Clickbanks Instant Notification Service (INS). This service can send a compilation of data to a specified URL every time a transaction occurs. We need a script to fetch this data, decrypt it, select the data we need and forward it to Voluum in a regular postback URL format. To do all this you will first need a webserver with an SSL certificate. Clickbank only allows communication with an SSL protected URL.
Activate SSL for your webserver
Activation of SSL on your webserver will be different depending on the webhost you are using. Therefore we can't give specific instructions. We recommend getting in touch with your hosting provider's support.
If you are looking for a free option to obtain an SSL certificate, check out letsencrypt.org
Get your Voluum postback URL
Gather your Voluum postback URL by logging into your account, choosing Settings and then Setup.
Request access to Clickbanks Instant Notification System
Before you can use Clickbanks Instant Notification Service you will have to request access. Login to your Clickbank account and go to Settings -> My Site. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Advanced Toolssection. Click on Edit. On the following page you will be able to request access and also to define your secret key. This key will be used to decrypt the data coming from Clickbank.
Download our script
Next you will need a script hosted on your secured webserver that receives the data from Clickbank and turns it into a postback URL that Voluum can understand. One option would be to reach out to a developer of your choice and have it programmed. But because we have done that already you can obtain the php script from us.
Adjust the script with your data and upload to your server
Now that you have the script you will need to make a few adjustments with the data we have gathered before. Open the php script with an editor of your choice. Notepad will do.
- In the section Voluum Settings paste your Voluum postback URL from Step 2. Use the postback URL without the parameters at the end. The script will add the parameters automatically.
- In the section Clickbank Settings paste your secret key.
- Leave everything else untouched if you don't know what you are doing.
- Upload the script to your webserver where it can be accessed through a secure URL. For example https://yourdomain.com/clickbank-voluum-sync.php.
Run Clickbank test and check Voluum stats
Go back to your Clickbank account and visit My Sites, scroll down to Advanced Tools and click Edit. Paste the URL to your script in the field Instant Notification URL. Click on TEST IPN. When the test was sucessful clickbank should start delivering information to your script.
Now gather some conversions and check if Voluum receives the conversion data.
If everything is working fine, you're done. If there is no data registering in Voluum, proceed to the Troubleshooting section at the bottom of the page.
Run your campaigns, optimize and make some serious cash
Now that your conversion reporting from Clickbank is automated, use your time to optimize your campaigns and launch new ones. We wish you good luck!

Customs in Australia have seized a package of live snakes and spiders
Customs authorities have seized a parcel full of live venomous exotic snakes and spiders that smugglers attempted to get through by international mail.
The parcel included six venomous vipers, native to South East Asia, nine large tarantulas from Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, plus Asian forest scorpions.
The Deputy Secretary for biosecurity Lyn O'Connell said it posed a risk of carrying pests and diseases that could affect human, animals and plants as well as agricultural industries.
The case is being investigated

Story highlights
Mom shares story of South Carolina girl who chose doll of different race
"She is a pretty girl; I am a pretty girl," girl told store cashier who questioned her choice
When 2-year-old Sophia was told she could pick out a prize for finishing her potty training, she knew just what she wanted.
She and her mother, Brandi Benner, visited a Target near their South Carolina home, where Sophia spent 20 minutes looking at all the dolls in the toy aisle.
She kept going back to the doctor doll, because in her mind, she is already a doctor Benner said. She loves giving checkups, and if you come in the house, she'll tell you that's the first thing you need."
The issue came up right away, when a store cashier asked Sophia: Wouldn't she rather have a doll that looked like her
According to her mother, Sophia had a ready answer.
She does the toddler responded She's a doctor; I'm a doctor. She is a pretty girl; I am a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? See her stethoscope
Benner credits the TV cartoon "Doc McStuffins with teaching Sophia the word "stethoscope
But she credits Sophia for knowing what is important: The doll's skin tone didn't matter. To Sophia, she and the doll share the same aspirations.
Benner was relieved she didn't have to defend her daughter's choice and glad that Sophia wasn't fazed by the cashier's question.
