Highlights of the Microsoft Build 2018 conference

Windows 10 Mobile did not achieve what was expected of it to make it a smart phone operating system. Microsoft is now focusing on making Windows 10 integrated with iOS and Android in the future. Where Microsoft announced an application called Your Phone to receive text messages, transfer pictures and receive notifications from Windows 10, all without removing your smartphone from your pocket. Microsoft also brings the Timeline to Microsoft Launcher on Android and the Edge on iOS.     Microsoft Build 2018
Alexa is one of Amazon’s most popular digital assistants, while Cortana is Microsoft’s digital assistant. The most important thing is that Amazon and Microsoft will allow their assistants to work together by calling each assistant for help, either through smart speakers or Windows 10. The date of launch is not yet known.
Through virtual reality glasses, Microsoft continues to push both AR and VR into the enterprise. Which included two new features: remote assistance for conversation and participation, and planning to create spaces in virtual reality.
Satya Nadala, CEO of Microsoft, said that Microsoft’s AI services would be for people and would be ethical. Where the company started a $ 25 million program to fund artificial intelligence projects that help people with disabilities. He also highlighted users’ right to privacy.
Microsoft offered a set of Windows 10 features, such as a business feature to compile the software you use on specific projects. It also adds new interactive features to programs such as Outlook, which will support Microsoft Pay so you can pay bills directly from your inbox.

YouTube is testing the display of videos outside the application (image-in-picture mode)

***********************************
YouTube has started testing an image-in-picture mode that allows videos to be played without the need to stay in-app where the video is played with a mini-window and can be browsed at the same time.

Featured here is that this feature is tested by YouTube for those who have no subscription and membership in RED service. The $ 10-a-month service already supports this feature but is available in only five countries around the world.
YouTube excludes music videos from this status and can only be viewed outside of the app with the RED subscription. At the same time, YouTube provides channel managers restricting some videos to take advantage of this situation and therefore keep their operation confined to the same application.
The status is activated without any user intervention as you are currently testing on the Android system and those who have a copy of Oreo.

If YouTube has already launched this feature, it will increase the viewing rate as the user can multitask like browsing another application such as Twitter, Entragram or the web via Chrome while watching a video from YouTube

The WhatsApp application now supports the ability to play Facebook and Instagram videos

The WhatsApp application now supports the ability to play Facebook and Instagram videos

***********************************
WhatsApp application owned by Facebook today got a simple but very useful change. The application was updated so that it can now play videos posted on Facebook and Instagram without having to make the user navigate between separate applications. However, we still wonder why WhatsApp has taken all this time to support the ability to play Facebook and Instagram in the application, especially if we know that all three services are part of the same company.

Today’s WhatsApp app         was updated so that it can play videos on Facebook and Instagram within the same app. When users receive a video on Facebook or Instagram from one of their contacts on WhatsApp, they will be able to view the video in question and will not need to exit the conversation and watch the video in a separate application.

As we mentioned earlier, we do not know why WhatsApp takes all this time to support this feature, especially if we know that WhatsApp supports the ability to play YouTube videos in conversations already, before supporting Facebook and Instagram.

This support is part of the WhatsApp update today for iOS users, which also includes the ability to give managers the ability to change the theme, description, and icon for an actual conversation. These changes will be released to Android users in the near future.

***********************************
If you’re new to iOS 11, you may notice that some apps are “deleted” randomly or even automatically uninstalled, so you may have to try to reinstall your deleted apps continually. But be assured that iOS 11 works properly.
It’s an advantage, not a problem. In fact, your apps are not “deleted”. This feature is called Offload Unused Apps, and can be turned off (or restarted) easily
Essentially, this feature works as a way to help users save storage on their devices, which automatically downloads apps that you do not use when storage space is low. These applications will still be on your home screen, but their icons will appear gray and next to a small cloud logo.
When you click on it to turn it on, you have to wait a little while for the app to load. This is undoubtedly a great thing, so you can keep application data while saving space on your phone.

Although this is an advantage that many users may not want.

There are actually two ways to access this feature with a switch on the iPhone Storage and iTunes & App Store in the Settings app. The only way to disable the feature is through iTunes & App Store.
1 – Go to the Settings application
2. Click General
3 – then iTunes & App Store
4 – You will find the Offload Unused Apps switch, turn it off
