How to set up a Google Account on your phone or tablet
Open Settings.
Scroll down to Accounts.
Click Add account by clicking the plus icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Click on Google.
Click or create a new account.
Type the name associated with the account, while you do not need to use your real name, and if this is your primary account, it’s a good idea to use your real name.
Click Next.
Enter the birth date associated with the account.
Google requires that all account users have at least 13 years of age and some countries have higher age requirements, but in order to have an account that can use a Google Wallet or use a Google Play credit card, the account holder must be 18 years old.
Choose the gender, but if you do not want to know your gender, you can decline the status.
Click Next.
Type your user name, this user name will become your Gmail address as well as how to log in to Google.
Click Next.
If the username you want is taken, you will be asked to choose other suggestions, either choose one of the suggested user names, or type in a new name.
Click Next.
Type a new password for your account. The password must be at least eight characters long, but you do not need to have a special number or character.
Re-type your new password in the Confirm Password box, which will tell you how strong or weak your password is.
You’ll be asked to add a phone number, you can use this phone number to verify your identity, help you sign in to your account, help people find you if they have your phone number, and if you’d like to add a phone number to your address.
Click Next to verify your number or skip to skip number mode.
Google will provide its own Terms of Use, after scrolling through and reading the sections that interest you, click I agree.
Your basic Google Account has now been set up, and your username and password will be displayed.
